LOADS CAN BE CLASSIFIED AS 1)GRADUALLY APPLIED LOADS
2)SUDDENLY APPLIED LOADS
EXAMPLE; IF 10 KN IS APPLIED IN INCREMENTS OF SAY, 2KN AT A
TIME UP TO 10KN IT IS GRADUALLY APPLIED LOAD AND THE USUAL
FORMULAS OF STRESS ,STRAIN WILL HOLD GOOD.
IF THE LOAD OF 10KN IS APPLIED AT TIME IT IS SUDDENLY
APPLIED LOAD AND THE FORMULAS MAY BE ALTERED BY APPLYING
MULTIPLICATION FACTOR
IN STEAD IF THE LOAD IS APPLIED BY DROPPING FROM A CERTAIN
HEIGHT WHICH WILL INDUCE SOME IMPACT(DYNAMIC LOADS)ARE
CALLED IMPACT LOADS AND THE FORMULAS OF STRESS ,STRAIN ARE
ALTERED BY MULTIPLYING WITH IMPACT FACTOR
PL.CORRECT IF WRONG.
