As generator may be connected to any type of load(Inductive,Capacitive) therefore primarily it is independent of power factor,so we rating of generator which produces voltage and currents(v*i) is rated in kva, as motors have specific load nature (mostly inductive having specific power factor) are rated in kw

My question is it necessary to install an arrestor on every tank or will this particular one be covered by the arrestor installed on the ajdacent tank, Since all the tanks are close to each other.
