What is Spliit and Splitless in Gas Chromatography nad How
does it work?
Answer Posted / k.vineel kumar
Split liner is that in which it takes only i part from the
injection volume and dicards the remaining 4 parts through
vent outside if the split ratio is 1:5
Splitless is that in which if 1µl is the injection volume
it takes full of it and vent is not present in splitless
liner.
So ultimately the responses will be high in Splitless than
in split
