It is nothing wrong to say that Human Resources is a
department of a company that manages anything to do with
the employment of its workforce. They are also responsible
for the hiring and firing of employees. However I would
look HR as a strategic business contributor. eg By
providing right candidate on the right place in right time
in a cost effective manner, HR acts as strategic business
contributor.
HR is to act as a liason between the management and
workforce of the organization. He/she has to ensure cordial
relations among the two parties and create a win-win
situation for both.
