what is the differnce between SCR and diode rectifier?
Answer Posted / md. firoz alam
SCR stand for silicon controlled rectifier. It is three terminal and three junction device generly used for controlled rectification at high voltage and frequency. But on other hand diode is two terminal single junction device which can be used in forward bias for uncontrolled rectification at low frequency.
