how much cement is required for 100 sft plastering of ratio
1:4
Answer Posted / ndd
In this question plastering thikness is not mentioned.
Consider,plastering ( Cement and sand)thickness = 10mm
100 Sqft = 9.29 Sqm
-------------------------------------------------------
Wet Mortar volume= 9.29 X 0.01Cum =0.0929 Cum
Dry Mortar volume = 0.0929 X 1.15 =0.106835 Cum
Cement = 1/4 X 0.106835 X 1400 Kg =37.392 Kgs
(Volume of cement is ignored )
Hence for 100 Sqft area,and 10mm thick plastering the
cement quantity required = 37.40 Kgs ( Without wastage)
