How to prepare ppm solution of Nacl form its salt?

For Example we want to prepare 500ppm as follows
first we convert ppm to percentage.
500ppm=0.05%
Nacl M.Wt=58.5 cl=35.5
58.5*0.05/35.5 =0.0824g
weight 0.0824g of Nacl to prepare 500ppm.
