How can we calculate the rating of a transformer suppose if
load is 1000KW?Formula?
Answer Posted / k.prakashchandra
The pf is not to go below 0.85 and loading factor can be
taken as 0.9 or as low as 0.7 in anticipation of future
load.Then 1000/ 0.85 x o.9 or 0.7 i.e. 1300 KVA or 1700
KVA is the required rating.
