BHP stands 4 Brake Horse Power.It comprises of the Indicated
power(IP) i.e, power obtained from the engine and the
Frictional Horse Power(FHP) due to frictional losses on the
shaft.. Basically the power obtained due to the rotation of
crankshaft..
It is measured by using a brake dynamometer along with a
load...
