I think most of the people here got different views.
If the interviewer says "NO EXPLANATION, BUT DEFINE"
then please look at the scenario below.
Lets say both of the interviewer and the interviewee are talking about some engineering concepts.
In this situation when the interviewer asks the interviewee to explain about a diode.
Then the interviewee starts explaining how its been made and where its been made and use of the diode in engineering etc..,
"The interviewer will then say "Hey no explanations but define"?
This means dont start lectures for each questions asked, instead be precise.
