Why Clock rate command is not configured on ethernet

Clock rate is used for synchronization between sender and
receiver.for serial connections we need to specify the
clock rate as its protocol dont have the capability to sync
by itself as such in ethernet protocol.ethernet protocol
uses preamble part of the header to sync between sender and
receiver.
