What is the difference between Income and Revenue?

Income is the amount which is received by a business other than it's core activities(i.e except ordinary business activities like Purchase and Sale of goods and services) for Ex: profit on sale of Fixed assets,interest received on investments etc.
Revenue is the money which is the receipt of the business in it's ordinary course of business i.e purchase and sale of goods and services.
