What is the difference between earthed and unearthed cable
Answer Posted / birla cellulosic, kharach
Earth grade cable have more insulation resistance than
Unearth grade cable because when there is fault in any
phase cable core than voltage of other cable core is
increased with respect to earth and if cable insulation
between cable core and earth (armour) is not sufficiant
than cable insulation may fail. so earth cable is better
than unearth cable in terms of insulation.
