what is 6 pulse and 12 pulse inverter? Explain brifly
Answer Posted / d.das
12-Pulse Inverter is essentially two 6-Pulse Inverters
supplied from transformer secondaries with phase shift. The
secondaries of the supply transformer are commonly chosen
as Star and Delta with a Phase Shift of 30deg. The 12-Pulse
Inverter is preferred over 6-Pulse Inverter due to its
inherent capability of suppressing third harmonic current.
