in 3 phase (4 wire) star connection - is current pass through
neutral??
Answer Posted / ankush miglani 9718037333, eba
for star connections if the load is balanced, the phasor
sum of the three currents is zero.
but if the load is unbalanced, the all three phases do not
carry the same load or if there is any fault, a current
passes thru the neutral and the amount is equal to the
current that balances the all three phase currents.

What will be the impact on motor performance if a LT motor is rewound with changed motor winding data as given below:- Original winding data: total 04 wires = 02 wires of 17 SWG + 02 wires of 16.5 SWG. Changed Winding data: total 03 wires of 15.5 SWG wire size Motor rating: 160KW, 740RPM, 415V, ID FAN application. Normal Running Current = 95% of FL Current.
