Monitoring the performance of the servers is a regular task
for the system administrators. There are many tools
available in solaris to achieve this task. Below are the
various tools available for analyzing the process.
- iostat ,vmstat,mpstat, prstat, netstat , ps -ef
#iostat -xtc ( Gives disk, terminal, tape and cpu
utilization information)
#vmstat -d ( gives disks statistics )
#mpstat ( Gives reports information per processor )
#prstat ( Gives us active process statistics )
#netstat ( Gives network related statistics )
#ps -ef ( Shows the status of all current process)
