Why Diesel Engines are expensive than petrol Engines? Tell the
economics of both the engines?
Answer Posted / lokesh nayak
In diesel engines weight to power ratio is more than petrol engines . this means to produce the same power the weight of a diesel engine must be much more than a petrol engine. thus diesel engines are more heavy and robust in design than petrol engines and hence are more expensive. nothin to do with cost of petrol or diesel.
