Distinguish between neutral earthing and equipment earthing?
Answer Posted / jayesh pillai
star point connected to ground is known as neutral earthing
it is essential for preventing arcing ground effect during
faulty conditions and maintaining zero potential at neutral
even during unbalanced condition
equipment earthing is related to earthing of non current
carrying metallic parts that may be electrocuted during
earth fault. so it is doned in order to prevent any shock
to any person and even equipment when current flows through
such equipment body during fault
