what is a join? what are the types of joins?
Answer Posted / palzkumar
Both are right.. but slight changes... joins is used to
fetch the records/data item from two or more queries (no
tables in cognos) using
type of joins like...
1.EQUI / SIMPLE JOIN (eg. 1:1 = 1:n)
2.SELF JOIN
3.OUTER JOIN
a.left outer join (eg. 1:0 = 1:n)
b.right outer join (eg. 1:1 = 1:0)
c.full outer join (eg. 1:0 = n:0)
