what is the conductor size in 33/11 kv line
Answer Posted / ajit g. k.
How can you find out the cable size without knowing the
load requirements, the current that is to flow through it.
And also, a line can never be 33kV and 11kV at the same
time. A 11kV line becomes a 33kV line when it passes
through a transformer(just for info). The cable sizes
differ as the current flow is different.even the conductors
change. In transmission lines that carry current say, 1000A
in 11 kV, its about 334A in 33kV line which follows. The
cable used is XLPE in 11kV and in 33kV we use AAA
conductors. sizes stil depend on many other factors too.
