how to calculate the size of cable for 100 kva load,?can
somebody tell me with a formula
Answer Posted / naresh kumar dhal
100kva load has total current of-139 amps.
if we consider derating factor=0.8
Then total current=139/.8=173 amps
For 173 amps we can use 120 sqmm cable.
Its current capacity=1.5*120=180amps
