why KF factor is between 4.5 to 7.5 mg/ml ? why ? why
sometime pyridine is used in analysis like in raw material
solvent like acetone etc?

Answer Posted / suresh kumar

If we use methanol as a medium acetone will react with
methanol and side reaction takes place to give water
molecule as a biproduct hense the end point cannot be
attained, thats why we use pyridene or 2- propanol as a
medium in the case of determination of water content of
acetone by kf reagent.
