How we Use DC Power in Transformers? is it possible ?
Answer Posted / susanta mallik
acording to faraday's law of electro magnetic induction emf
produce in a coil when the linkage flux changes.as we know
dc supply gives a constant flux where ac gives a sinusoidal
varying flux.so the transformer does not works on dc.one
point we have to remember hare that f=0 for dc.then
xL=0.hense the inductor acts as short circuit and causes low
impedance as well as high current to flow in the transformer
which may cause it to burn
