why we use to always generate power below 16kv.why not at
higher voltage?

We can generate more than 16KV but in that case we have to
pay more cost for
“insulation of winding” and the size of generator will be
bigger which will not cost effective.
That why we generated up to 16KV and step it up with the
help step-up transformer up to the required voltage level
and sent it over HV line.
