As the first one said it is not an Electronic Precipitator.
It is called as Electrostatic Precipitator.
Function:
To remove hazardous gases from entering into atmosphere.
Usage:
Power Plants
Gases mainly removed:
SO2
Why it should be removed:
To avoid polluting atmosphere as it causes acid rain (H2SO4,
) when combines with moisture.
