Switch:- it is used when we connect more than one computer
for thier communication.Switch works on source MAC address.
Switch are of two types:-
1. unmanageable and
2.manageable

1.Unmanageable- In this we cannot manage it according to our
need. In this there is no operating System.

2. Manageable - this switch we can manage it according to
our need. Example - we configure password. we install
operating system in this switch.

Cisco router:- It is used for communication of two different
networks and give them best routing path for their
communication.
Example- ist n/w is 192.168.10.0 and
2nd n/w is 192.168.11.0
