Is it mandatory statutory requirement of transformer oil
filtration annualy despite oil is withstanding required
dieelectrical strenth and all others parameters
Answer Posted / ramjeet singh
Yes; at least once in a year it should be filtered and
tested as per IS 1866-2000 to withstand not only BDV,
moisture but all the 9 test parameters; as at least we
should know what has happened in terms of oil
characteristics within a year.
