what is the difference blw turbocharger and supper charger ?
Answer Posted / franco ambrose s
turbo charger is used in diesel engine ,super charger is
used in gasoline engine(petrol)engine ...both are used to
increase the pressure of inlet air before it enters into
the cylinder.in diesel engine the exhaust gas would be
enough pressure to run the compressor which increases the
pressure of inlet air here no need of external power supply
but in the case of petrol the exhaust gas wouldnt be enough
pressure to run the supercharger compressor so in that we
should give battery power to the copressor.
