Caffeine is used for HPLC calibration in detector wavelength
accuracy test just because.
-it is completely soluble in water.
-it have a range of absorption wavelengths.
max at 205nm minima at 245nm and a maxima at 273nm.
- more over it is very stable for long time even in
solution(water).
