what is automatic voltage regulator and it is used?
Answer Posted / raviteja
AVR means Automatic Voltage Rgulator. It is a device mainly eqipped with synchronous generator to maintain terminal voltage constant. The output of generator is taken and is stepped down to some value and is rectified that rectified signal is compared and error is generated and the compensation of voltage is made. Finally by excitation control it is going to keep the constant voltage level.I hope this will benefit for designing of AVR
