How we connect capacitors in Fixed Series compensation of
AC transmission lines. Whether in parallel or in series?

Answer Posted / sudhir soni

Fixed series compensation is connected in series in the
line.

for the purpose:
-increased transient (angular) stability of a power
corridoor
- increased voltage stability of the grid
- improved voltage profile along the power corridoor
- optimized power sharing between parallel circuits
