WHAT IS THE USAGE OF Buckoltz relay IN POWER TRANSFORMER AND
AND HOW ITS FUNCTIONS?
Answer Posted / wasif
in case of fault enormous amout of heat is generated in the
main tank which decompose the oil as a result of which
gases are produced. When the gases travel from main tank to
conservator tank they causes the float of buchholz relay to
be inverted which in result makes the tripping contacts and
thus causes the breaker to be tripped.
