commutator function in the dc motor is to convert dc
quantity into ac, so it produces regular torque.
& in case of generator it converts ac quantity into dc.
THE FUNCTION OF COMMUTATOR IN DC MOTOR IS TO REVERSE THE
DIRECTION OF CURRENT.
