What is mechanical interlock?Explain the uses?
Answer Posted / guru
Its is otherwise termed as Castel Key Interlock.
The primary function of this type of interlock we can
provide many mechanical locks in between the circuit
breakers or isolators but all the locks cane be opened only
with a single key. So if a key is engaged in a isolator or
breaker without shutting down of that breaker that key
cannot be removed and unlock the other cicuit breaker to
switch it on. By this way any mistake of operating 02
circuit breakers operating simultaneously is avoided.

Explain the function and difference of Restricted earth fault, simple earth fault and sensitive earth fault with connection diagram.
In a power conditoining unit (inverter) of a solar plant when we measure the d.c. current fed by different strings of solar plates to inverter, the current in the negative wire is less almost by 1 ampere to the current in its positive wire say current in positive wire 5 A , then current in negative wire of the same string is 4 A. Since the current entering should be equal to current leaving then why the current is noticably less in negative wire.
