ERP or Enterprise Resource Planning is a phenomenon under
which, companies take a holistic approach towards managing
the business by providing better connectivity and
information exchange between various functions of an
organization like Finance, Marketing, Production planning,
Human Resource, Procurement etc.
SAP B1 is the software package that provides IT
infrastructure to ensure smooth flow of information in an
organization. However, there are other players in the market
like Infor (ERP LN & ERP LX), Microsoft (Solomen, Navision,
Axapta, Great Plains), IFS, QAD to name a few.
