what is the diff. between power transformer & distribution
transformer.....
Answer Posted / amitsinh atalia
Power transformers have ratings above 500 kva and have
maximum efficiency at full load and are designed for higher
leakage reactance.
while distribution tranformers have ratings below 500 kva
and are designed for max. efiiciency at a load much below
than the full load, and should have lower leakage reactance.
