Why we do design mix of concrete when there is nominal
method using the IS-Code available ?

Because the properties of available material is varies from
site to site.It is preferable because we want to get
strength of concrete at optimum cost.You can use nominal
method of mix if you are able to provide standard
characteristics to the all material.
