Why Motors are generally supplied with 3 core cables??? why
not 4C??

Generally motors are of two type 1) single phase 2) three
phase
1) in this type 3 core cable used 1 for phase 2nd for
neutral 3rd for ground
while in,
2) in this type 3 core cable used for three phases & ground
is attached separatlly
Thats why 3 core cable used.
