At what load maximum effiecency will be obtained
Distribution transformer and Genarating transformer Pls
clarify?

Answer Posted / sandipan

In case of distribution transformer max efficiency occurs
in 50% load.Because it is never fully loaded(vary from day
to night). Therefore,it is designed so that it's max
efficiency occurs on below full-load/around 1/2load.

In case of Genarating transformer max efficiency occurs in
full-load.Because it is always fully loaded. Therefore,it
is designed so that it's max efficiency occurs on full-
load.
