what is the difference b/w circuit breakers and relays?
Answer Posted / inderpal
Circuit Breaker is a protection device which can intrupt
the fault current, CB has high fault level with-stand
capacity (kA). Relays are also used in protection circuit
but relays cannot with-stand high fault levels. Relays are
generally used as sensing element to open the circuit
breakers.
