what is the difference between power and distribution
transformer?
Answer Posted / latika
Distribution transformers have LV side with 440/220V which
distributes the power to promises, shops, industries and
offices. So it is conventionally called distribution
transformer. 440V/ 220V are the Indian Standard dist.
voltage with 50HZ Freq. So in India transformer with LV side
having output of 440/220V is generaly called distribution
transformer. All others are power Transformer.
