Why is the electric shock from the DC supply is more
dangerous than the shock from AC supply.
Answer Posted / gerhard
Current passing through the body cause the muscle in the
body to contract which stops you from releasing the
conductor if the current passing through your dody is about
50mA. If a ac current of less than 30mA pass through your
body you may be given the chance to come free not only
because the current is low but also because with ac the
signal goes through the zero potential 100times in one
second at 50Hz supply. With a dc supply you will not have
the opertunity to come free as the signal does not go
through the zero potential giving you the break as what ac
does.
