what is the main different between distribution transformer
and power transformer ?
Answer Posted / lakhan sagar
power x'mer
used for above 200kva...efficiency is high because it have
low copper loss ...it have high flux density...it having low
current density..they are put in operation during the load
period and disconnecting during light load period....
distribution transformer
used for below 200kva...its efficiency is high at near or
below 50% load...
it having low flux density...
it having high current density..
