if we mainten power factor near about unity (0.999) our
energy consumption Units increase or decrease?

with power factor at unity the power consumption will not
get effected . but for sure the production cost will
decrease with which the cost of consumption will decrease.
and how the production cost will decrease???
answer is with unity pf the real power will be v*i*cos@=v*i
which is actuall input power and now is usefull power.
