what is the suitable voltage of transmission line to
transmit 10000w power through 250 km.
(a)11kv
(b)33kv
(c)66kv
(d)132kv
]and please tell me whats the logic behind it
Answer Posted / sunny maurya
I WILL SUGEST U TO PREFFER 66 kV LINES BECAUSE THE POWER TO BE TRANSMITTED IS NOT MUCH ,IS IN kW ONLY.logic behind this is that line losses r less at higher voltage, but u will think why not to use 132 kV lines ,It is because at higher voltage insulation cost increases, and cost of equipments as well.
