transformer is not electromechanical machine.It works on
the principle of mutual inductance.current flowing in the
primary coil produces magnetic field which inturn induces
emf in the secondary coil.Based on the number of turns we
can classify the transformer as step-up or step-down.This
is the reason why transformer is not rotating
