What is difference beteen Migration and Upgrdation?

Migration is a tool comes with OS CD or DVD. It is used to
copy the settings like wallpaper,mails,regional options
from old computer to new computer. Most widely it is used
in big MNC's companies .
Upgrdation is a process of updating the OS through Internet
or patches. The group of patches is called Updates. The
group of update is called service packs or versions.
