Can any horizontally mounted motor be used as vertical?

Answer Posted / ramesh kumar k

Electrically... there is no problem... until the rotor
position disturbs...
but there is a chance for that... as the lower side bearing
will have to bear all the rotor weight.. and that also the
force acting on the bearing will not be in proper
direction... so first the bearings will gets damaged... and
then position of the rotor will be disturbed...so there
willl not be smooth operation of the motor.....
