In a computer tape library there are two racks with 40
tapes per rack.In a given day 30 tapes are in use . What
fraction remains in the rack?

The no. of racks would be 50. as we have 2 racks of 40
tapes each, that means we have 80 tapes out of which we
have already used 30 out of it then remaining would be 50
(40+40-30=50)
