UPS stands for Uninterrupted Power Supply.
Main Parts are:
1.Transformer, used to convert 220V AC to 12V DC or vise versa
2. Circuit, used to control the monitoring and running funtions.
3. Transitors, used to smoothen the supply from AC to DC
4. Diods, to help in charging the battery
5. Rectifier, It converts AC to DC Supply.

in the directional overcurrent and earthfault protection,normally we are setting the angle 45 deg lead for phase fault overcurrent and -45 deg lead for earthfault fro forward direction.but both the fault are operating on the same angle region only.why?how the relay will response?
